Lev 18:22'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable

Lev 20:13 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

I even have heard those arguments formerly. I even have one question although, how is it that the church for 2,000 years have been given it incorrect and that purely interior the 20 th century did we get it top? This wasn't a controversy till approximately 40 years in the past. 2d, the term, arsenokoitai is real undemanding to understand. It ability adult males-bedders. Paul is quoting Leviticus financial disaster 18 from the Septuagint, a Greek translation of the previous testomony. the two words, arseno and koitai look in succession interior the passage from Leviticus. So confident, he did invent the term is as much as he mixed the two words to indicate and then condemn what became occurring in Corinth. He then backs it up by ability of quoting the previous testomony in Greek as this could have been the only scriptures the church in Corinth could have time-commemorated.

The original bible text was written in Greek and when translated in English it means the exact same thought -Homosexuality is a sin and abomination to God.

That is why Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their sinful homosexual lifestyles.

Leviticus 18:22
Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Homosexuals can try all they want to make the rest of us think this is acceptable to marry, called themselves a family if kids are involved or adopted. In the eyes of God that will always be a sin.

The Lord God hates sin and cannot enter his kingdom or presence.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

I Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

it's too bad my keyboard doesn't have the greek alphabet, because that sure would help here...

Romans 1:24
The people continued to ignore God so "God has given those people over to do the filthy things their hearts desire, and they do shameful things with eachother"

Romans 1:26 -27
Because they do this, God has given them over to shameful passions. Even the women pervert the natural use of their sex by unnatural acts. 27 In the same way the men give up natural relations with women nd burn with passion for each other. Men do shameful things with each other, and as a result they bring upon themselves the punishment they deserve for their wrongdoing."

Leviticus 18:22 "No man is to have sexual relations with another man"

Leviticus 20:13 If a man has sexual relations with another man, they have done a disgusting thing"

And a good hint also would be that the Bible provides relational help and guidelines for a man and a woman, not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. And Song of Songs sure wasn't between the same sexes.

If you read Leviticus 20:13 it says that it is an abomination against God for man to lie with mankind and woman to lie with womankind and it says that they would be surely put to death and it also says that a woman should not put on garments that pertain to a man in Deuteronomy 22:5. So I hope that this can clear your mind. But if you really want to know what it says about being homosexual, just know that it is not a sin to be one but it is the actions that are sinful

The Bible is written in the Hebrew and the Greek. It is the Greek that says Homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God in 1 Corinthians 6: 9,10.

It started in the Levitical laws Leviticus 20:13 for example. 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

New Testament 1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders"

Nowhere. This is one of those times where they choose to believe the bible figuratively unlike every other thing that is taken literally. I think maybe the author(s) of the Bible didn't care about and maybe just forgot to mention it
