I spent tons on a woman who couldn't see the light of day for what it was worth.
I wish I had every penny back. I would give it to my wife. at least she appreciates the effort.

As long as you're the one who did the asking, I think you should pay for everything on a first date. However, if she asked you out then she should offer to split or pay all.
