Is it okay to keep a shoebox full of memories from your exes?

I don't no - I have kept things from my very first love but have thrown out everything else.
My bf though has a shoe box full of things and cards from his ex's.
I secretly think he likes to keep all the nice things that his ex's have said or given to him, for his ego.

If you can keep in perspective of being the past and not clouding up the present, sure. There is nothing wrong with being reminiscent of someone that brought happiness to your life. Don't compare a new relationship on those old memories because you will surely doom it to the same fate.

Yes but don't flaunt it to your current guy. Also only keep the stuff you really want and brings good memories. And clean it out every now and then when the items no longer have sentimental meaning.

I believe it is your choice honestly. Sometimes a memento box can help us remember what mistakes we made, what qualities we enjoyed in a person. I believe these qualities are very important because it aids us in personal growth

Yes, I used to but over the years their signifigance dwindled so I got rid of them on our last move.

as long as ur present boyfriend does not find it, I suppose that it is fine to keep memories of past relationships

Why not?
They were a significant part of your past and simply "erasing" them from your mind is not healthy.
I see nothing wrong with that

Sure... if you and your exs were married.
Keep it at your parents house... not where no one can see it.

If you are not seeing anybody, then its fine to keep it around.

Yes, i do and so does my boyfriend.
It's the one part of our lives we won't share with eachother and we like to keep it that way.
