Mecca is the city where Abraham built the first temple to God . He placed his son Ishmael and his wife there. As it was desert and there's little water, the mother, I think her name was Hagar ran 7 times back and forth betwen the two mountains there known as Al Marwa and As-safwa looking for water. The angel Gabrial was next seen hitting his heel into the earth and from it sprang forth water which is now known as the well of Zam Zam. Studies have been done on this water and no conduit, underground water supply can be found for it and no matter how much is used, it never dries. God has said that the water will keep running until the day of resurrection. God ordered Abraham to build a temple to him here. Even the footstep of Abraham can still be seen today as it is encased in a glass and copper cover. The Kaaba, the stone, black clothed square object, which holds the last remaining remnant of the old temple has a stone inside it, that had fallen from the sky. It is considered to be a stone from the original temple The stone was once white but now it is black as a result of the sins of the people who have touched it. Every Muslim is obliged to make a pilgramage to Mecca once in his lifetime. He must wear nothing sewn, come as God created him and circumabulate the Kaaba 7 times, making invocations and prayer. Then, most go to refresh themselves with Zam Zam water as the well is almost directly beneath the Kaaba. It is said that 70,000 angels circumambulate the Kaaba from above and that once they perform that, another 70, 000 come and never does an angel who has performed this ever return to do it again, given the great number of angels. Finally, the pilgrim must walk 7 times between the mountains as did Hajar, making invocation and prayer, perhaps being answered as was she. This is the "mini-pilgrimage". I have not yet had the honor of doing the Hajj "Pilgrimage

At the beginning their was no people & no water in that palace.
but God asked Ibrahim to make it the place for his second wife Hajar & her son Ishmael.
But God make well water come out for them then many people came to live their- the well still used now many people beleive it has the power to cure from diseases.
then Abraham built the house of God with his son Ishmael.
That place was holly and people pilgrim their since long time.
Later, Prophet Mohammed was born from “the same family of Abraham” and asked people to worship Abraham God and his God and not to worship the status they used to do for long time.
