basically im doing a paper and i need some research for this. my paper is on the effects of oil being given to plants instead of water.

Check for info on oil pollution, like soil pollution. That should have info on like, pouring oil on the ground.
I know every time my dad's slopped oil on the ground, it kills the grass and my mom gets super-pissed. You can put that in your paper if you like. HA!
But I don't have, like, a study on it or anything. Check environmental sites or something.

Oooo...poor plants. I have never done this, of course, but I would imagine the oil would block the pores..or cells... that take up water, or at least heavily limit it, and it would probably have a slow death.
