This site (see Sources) lists a couple of services where you can get comparisons of health insurance coverage from various providers. One of them definitely includes plans for students.

Health insurance is not anything to fear so no worries. Your best bet would be to contact a local insurance agency to help you get quotes for health insurance. There are not very health insurance companies in New Mexico and just about any agent that sells health insurance can more than likely access enough companies to find you a good deal. Having said that, you mentioned you are in college full time. Assuming you are under the age of 25, you could still be on your parents insurance policy, or you may qualify for medicaid. For medicaid, you will need to talk to the income support division of the state of New Mexico (should be able to do an internet search for that). The health insurance you purchase through an insurance agency could be fairly pricy, so if you don't have a job or some sort of income it might be hard to pay for. One of those two places should be able to help you get some health insurance. Good luck to you! Jason

If you're under 23 years old, see if you can still be covered under your parents' health insurance. Otherwise, contact student services at your college and ask if they have a deal with anyone - sometimes they do, It's pretty basic insurance - mainly to cover you for a hospital stay, but it should suit your needs. If the college can't help you there, contact a local insurance broker and see if you can get a basic policy - that would only cover you for hospitalization, since that would be the big thing for your age and condition - you should be able to get a decent one for about $200 a month or so.

Sorry, kid, you're asking this question about 20 years too late!
I would probably be able to tell you a few health insurance
policies that would satisfy your requirements about
20 years ago. There is a reason why Walmart doesn't give
you such insurance, you know. They did the math too. And if
a huge corporation with huge purchasing power can not negotiate
a good deal with the insurers, how do you think you will being
just a single individual? There is hope though. Watch
this video below and enjoy!

My college actually had health insurance that covered me while I was there. It was great coverage too. However, if you live the state of illinois I can personally help you. If not, call a local aflac agent in your state. If you have any further question about insurance email me mackelcw@yahoo.com.

The cheapest place to go, is through your college.

It's NOT going to include vision and dental - you're not going to find private vision and dental that doesn't end up costing more than it pays out - ever.
