yes, when i was in junior high school me and several of my friends was in band, well it didn't come as easy for me as it did with my friends and i remember this one time my mom told me that she wished that i could play as good as my friend. so that has always stuck with me and bothered me, and i am a grown woman and still think about her saying that. i guess that is why i put my all into everything that i do and just try to be the best i can be.

I don't have a specific comment that changed my life, but I do think saying nothing is as close to being as bad as saying something negative. My parents never encouraged me in anything, and to this day I still resent it. I feel if they had encouraged me in any of my interests I might have pursued one of them. Not to say that my choices weren't my own, but I might have made different ones w/ a little encouragement.

When I was going to college (I know I wasn't very young) but my teacher told me that the profession I was trying to get into was nearly possible, unless I knew someone in that profession. I was not cool. I actually finished that semester, to never go back to college.

I don't feel that an adult can affect you life, because I feel that everything happens for a reason, and things are just meant to go that way, and all they do is help youdog that I guess.

Of course.........children live what they learn. However cycles can be broken down through the generation.I have done it by changing a lot of my childhood negative situations into positive assets for my children.Example.......yelling made me nervous as a child so I try to watch yelling at mine..................

My 5th grade teacher encouraged me to be my very best. He wouldn't let me accept second best from myself.
