get some layers, but be sure to ask for long layers (i have some thick curly hair too!!)-- get the front angled too. that way the front pieces will be long enough to blend into your haircut, but if you ever wanted to do a different style incorporating long bangs, you could! :)

Some suggestions:

1. You should use "organic" or "Natural" shampoos. It works well. I suggest 365 Citrus Grapefruit Shampoo and Conditionor. I use this, and it embelleshes curls and waves, and eases the frizzies and poofyness.

2. Comb your hair, try not to brush it. The gets rid of split ends and frizz.

3. Layers do wonders

4. Clip some strands from the top, not the side, and let the rest go natural.

5. Baby Oils, and Coconut Oils wouldn't hurt you once in a while. It smoothens, lavishs, and makes you look natural, not a wanna-be.

6. Your hair doesn't really matter, people should like you for who you are, but if you do add accessories, don't overdo it, because it'll look kinda cheap!

7. Try Sidebangs.

I'm 16 years old and have really thick curly hair too, but mine is long I've found that you can style your hair in any style you want. i use thicker hair ties with out those gold metal things because they get caught, also don't wash your hair every day wash it every other day because if you do it can get brittle and break. if you want to wear it in a bun use two ties instead of one. you can also use leave in conditioner to tone done the curls and make your hair look softer.
