I've been having health probelms lately including severe lightheadedness, upset stomach, trouble sleeping, nausea, and trouble breathing (tight feeling) just to name a few. I think it's stress related, but does anyone have any other suggestions? It's so bad that I've had to stay home almost once a week.

My heart also keeps racing everytime I think of what all I have to do. I know I need to see a doctor, but I haven't been able to get in yet.

Poor thing, you really are suffering, aren't you? I too suffer from stress. Mine is brought on by health related issues though. Here are a few suggestions.

Keep a journal. I keep a prayer journal, and I write to God. It really helps me. Buy some spiritual books--Christian books, if you're Christian. Leaning about the love of God can not only reduce your stress, but it will change your life.

Take time to pray everyday. Talk to God like a Friend. Even though He's not a genie in a bottle, He is there with you.

Pamper yourself a little. Go for a walk, take time to read that book you just don't have time for. Pick up a new hobby. I taught myself how to crochet, and now I make baby blankets for crisis pregnancies! Pencil it in your planner if you have to! :p

Volunteer. Giving service to others is also a great stress reliever. Do something you're passionate about. An animal shelter, or a hospital, or a soup kitchen. Even if it's only once a month.

Try mental relaxation and breathing. Breathe in God, breathe out fear.

I would consider seeing a psychologist, and also speak to your doctor about possible medications.

Lastly, do your best to get enough sleep. Sleep is very important, and try going to sleep a little earlier each night till you find yourself feeling rested.

Know that I'll be keeping you in prayer. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to email me. God Bless

how about seeing a councellor? they almost always have the solution. that is, if you're still studying anyway. but i think it really is stress related. you also added that your heart keeps racing when you think about what u have to do. well, y don't u just DO it instead of THINKING of doing it. maybe you didn't tell anyone about what's stressing u lately. if u didn't, then maybe u should. it helps big time.
(just added) i agree with the answer about excercising. also, try drinking tea and try keeping a pet. cats would be good. tea contains anti-oxidant, which makes your head clear, and cats...well, they're just adorable. i play with my cats for a few minutes, and all my problems disappear. eating chocolates helps too. don't be affraid of being fat. that won't happen

Everyone has a different stress tolerance level. It sounds like you could have stressand some panic or anxiety attacks. Try meditation and some deep breathing - the best stress reliever, believe it or not, is walking. When something stresses you - take a walk and try to think of only the exercise you are getting as you walk. And think of good things in your life. Hopefully that will help somewhat.

i nknow exactly what your going through

right now turn off the computer go outside, sit on a chair, close your eyes, and breathe the fresh air of earth, and talk to god.

it helps to listen to relaxing music you like.

i swear, i was suffering from extreme stress and i think it was the reason i had a seizure last year, and i did this, and now i am happier than most people...
