hmm.. is it completely frozen? sometimes when u wash it, or leave it in some cold water for a bit, it will soften up pretty fast. i guess it depends on how thick the pieces are.. u might need to defrost in the microwave too

If I want it for lunch the next day, I usually take it out of freezer and put in a bowl in the refridgerator and let it thaw overnight.

You don't have a microwave? That is the quickest way that I know of. The only other way that I have ever use is putting it in a bowl and run warm water on it, but nuking it is way faster.

Guess the easiest way is microwaving it, but next time just get it out of teh freezer and put it in the sink and when you get home in the afternoon it's dethawed.
