weight lose for my dog?

Question

she is on a thyroid pill how long till i see changes?

she is a lab 110-130 lbs and feed her once a day but see keeps getting into the trash!

a dog is not a cat smarts

it depends on how long it takes to balance out her thyroid homone, I have thyroid issues too so that's how come I know, you have to keep getting her tested for her thyroid homone level to see if it is right.

My dogs do better being fed twice a day. My vet told me to feed the amount recommended on the package for the size I WANT her to be. So, for my nearly 30lb pug, I fed her the amount suggested for a 20lb dog. Of course if you're feeding twice a day, you'd divide each serving in half. But by feeding twice a day, they don't feel so hungry (hence getting into the trash,etc). After nearly a year, my pug is finally down to 20lb. She looks great!

Of course there were major setbacks along the way... like they day the cats knocked a WHOLE loaf of bread off the counter and she ate it... and the time they knocked a bag of catfood off the counter and she ate THAT... yeah. She's a pig. Er... I mean... pug. :)

i have found Science Diet to be a very good weight and gain program for dogs. there are different types of food for certain dogs. like yours, there is one for weight management. and for mine, i use original to help him gain weight.

feed her one can of canned food a day..that's what my cat eats cause she is on a diet cause shes over weight and the vet told me to put her on this diet. So far shes lost about 5lbs so it does work. talk to your vet about it.
