There are days I feel pretty, then I compare myself to these girls who dress slutty and are 15 but look 23. I'm 20 and look 16. I consider myself cute, not the most beautiful but I'm not ugly. People like my personaliy, but im really shy.

The best way to find someone is generally when you're not looking for a relationship ~ that's how I met my husband.
Since you have found a guy you like, you just need to casually ask him out for a bite to eat after work. It doesn't have to be anything super fancy, but everyone eats so it's a natural way to start a conversation.
I used to be really shy, so I can tell you that the first time you ask someone out will be excruciatingly difficult. Your stomach will do flip-flops, but you will be so glad you asked.
If it doesn't work out with the guy at work, you should find a coed club to be involved in, perhaps something active. You'll meet all kinds of people that way and perhaps you'll find someone worthy of a relationship.
You're so young that you don't need to worry about finding someone. Just go out and have fun right now and it'll all work out in the end.

Don't compare yourself to anybody. Just keep being yourself and when the right one comes along, he'll love you as you are.
As for this guy at work, maybe you could give him a little note. Just say what you said here, that you're really shy but that you like him and ask if he might like to get together sometimes. The worst he can do is say no, but if that happens don't worry. Just move on and one day mr right will come along. You have lots of time.

I am in the same situation with a guy I go to church with. Find one of your friends to ask him out for U. I have done that several time, it has only worked a few times. I like this guy a lot but and I do talk to him in a group with other people, but when we are alone and I have the perfect chance to ask him out I freeze up. Try to let one of your Friends to set U up on a double date with him. That way U can get to know him, and talking to him wont be awkward.
