Husky dogs require intense and continuous training. They need at least an hour of exercise everyday...and if your summer temperatures rise to more than 30 Celsius or 80 Fahrenheit, it can be dangerous for this northern breed. Huskies also have a strong need to be with their people, so that means allowing it in the house...if you are going to force it to live it's life in the backyard, you should not get a Husky. They also shed a large amount and need daily brushing. Huskies are special dogs and not many people are very qualified to own one!

huskys have tons of hair and require some pricey grooming, they need a lot of room to run. A lot of husky owners have trouble with their huskys running away so you need to make sure you have a confined space or time to take them out on frequent walks. You need to research the breed because its not an easy breed to keep. They are wonderful dogs if you have the time, yard and patience...oh also, they are very vocal

It all depends if you have enough time to take care of the animal, Can you afford vet bills if you have to take it too the vet, Is a large dog breed suitable for you?, Have you got time to walk the dog, are you willing to neuter the dog, Is everyone in the household for the idea?
If you can honestly say yes to these questions then...yes... a husky is a good idea.

It is if your ready for the commitment. Huskies are a high energy breed, the have a tendency to run away, jump fences and dig like crazy. They are good dogs, but you need to be able to give them lots of structured activites to keep them from getting bored.

of course as long as you research the breed and are able to give the husky proper care they are active and need lots of exercise and you have to be prepared with the expenses too theres food and vet bills grooming bills etc..
just be sure before making a decision because when you get him thats it he is depending on you for his survival and well being.

How about picking a dog for the traits that fit your life style not for the looks. Cold weather and room to exercise? Or should you be looking for a smaller house dog that can be left alone.
