I had this dilemma when we brought home my cat. lol. We had quite a time trying to figure it out. We didnt want a common name like snowball or anything like that, and sice you posted this question, im assuming you are the same way (no generic names).

what we did: we thought of what we really liked or what made us happy. In this case: our cars. Well, needless to say "Scion" isnt really a girl name, but then I thought "well, our model is the xB, and in Japan the xB is called the bB, so we'll call her BeeBee!"

And it stuck! So just think of what makes you happy, could be a car, could be a greek god/goddess, constellations, anything that you like!
