Your friend must be getting a jailhouse tattoo done by a friend or something because anyone who agrees to do it in a tattoo shop can easily lose their license. Thats the first thing they ask Are you pregnant. Anyone in their right mind knows you cant get a tattoo while pregnant. The inks and chemicals, then pregnant women are prone to infections. Thats like a tattoo artist asking to being sued.DUH!

No... I don't know anyone that would tattoo someone that was pregnant, unless the artist didn't know they were pregnant. I would personally wait till after my body got done stretching and being bloated before I got a tattoo.

I think it would be a bad idea, based solely on the fact that she could catch some blood-borne disease, like Hepatitis, and pass it on to her baby. She should wait. Even if she thinks the tattoo place is 100% sterile, it's better to be safe than sorry.

You can't even donate blood for a year after a tattoo, I don't know what reputable tattoo artist would give one if he/she knew the client were pregnant.

i would say No, wait until after you've had the baby! whats the rush anyways, you might not like by the time you've had the baby!! so wait til youve had the baby better safe then sorry, ask your doctor also if it is safe to do so, and the tattooist might not even do it while your pregnant too.!!!

I have to agree with desiserio. That was the VERy first question the artist asked when I went in to get mine done.

I would worry about laying on my stomach that whole time..You're not supposed to sleep on your stomach, so I'm not sure if that would be safe either...
