When ur rubbing a dogs belly why to they kick there leg? Does that mean it is hurting them?

hee hee your not hurting it if you look at the way a dog scratches when he is sitting he usses his back leg to itch so when you pet his belly in the right spot he kicks his leg to scratch it not relizeing that you are scratch ing not them.

At our house we call that "the kicker spot". I have four chihuahuas. One has never done this, one does it sometimes, one does it regularly, and the last will kick with BOTH legs! He stretches until he's really stiff and then kicks like crazy. When you try to stop he will nip at your hand to make you do it some more.

When they kick there leg it's a ticklish spot they love or it was itchy there.

no, my dog does the same thing, it just meens they like it, he does the same thing if you scratch him on the back
