And if that's the case, what other semi-luxury car maker with a high level of reliability DOES offer models available with a Manual Shift??

I work for Lexus and can tell you for certain that the only car offered new with a manual transmission is the IS250 RWD. The discontinued IS300 was offered in manual shift. The SC (sport coupes) with offered with manuals during their early years but the SC430 2002-2007 is only offered with an automatic. Manuals on any of these cars are rare though. Only a daily basis I drive 300 Lexus or more and only one or two is a manual.

Older ES300's were able to come in a manual. Not sure bout the new models. New IS has option of manual. Last body style SC300 came in manual as an option.
Lexus is luxury....so they come with automatic and leather as a common feature as 99.5% of those looking at such a car want those 2 options right off. You can get a manual and cloth interior in a Lexus, its just a special order is all. Talk to your Lexus sales person for more information.

I drove couple of Lexus IS200 and they had manual 6 speed gearbox. Great car, lots of fun, ideal for drifts

my brother owns 2 lexus with manual trans. 96sc300 and 2003 is300.just for kicks watch this sc300 manual in action( with twin turbo)

I have never seen one. Most people want automatics so that's what they do. Maybe BMW or Audi, or Mercedes.
