well depending if you are gonna rebuild yours or go for a used unit from wrecking yard.a rebuilt one turn key job will run you 1100.00 to 2400.00 just depending on who you use.used ones installed should go for about 600.00 to 1100.00 installed.
the biggest problem will be finding a reputable repair facility, one that can deliver on what they say in a timely manner.
you could call norm at greanleaf his# 281-485-3030 xt115 he will be gladd to help and also sells them both ways used or reman, they both carry a warrentee that pays labor should something not be right.then just get a good mech to do swap out
make sure you flushout your cooler lines real good .when you call norm tellum mitch said to call

Your best bet is to go ahead and buy a reman unit;cost around $1300-$1700 with about $800 for labor. With a reman unit the warranty is 3yrs/36000 miles. If you buy a used or rebuilt then the warranty is only 12months/120000 miles. I am a transmissions Tech at a Ford dealer and find that when people are shown these options they will go with a reman every time. You just take your chances with a used trans(possible probs with it before you get it)
