Open large paper bag on the floor, he will go in you can scrape the outside. Its really fun.

My cat has everything. Even glow balls, they are fun but noisey at night. If he gets bored with everything, he brings in a live mouse from outside. Then we both get to run around after it.

I win.

I use butterfly net from dollar store and oven gloves to catch it. Take it outside. Cat looks for it in the house for hours. LOL

I have a cat that's a lot like that. He only likes to chase things. If I throw a ball across the house a few times, he'll eventually go after it.

I have another cat who only plays with strings though. I sometimes drag various string objects throughout the house so she can chase them, throw them around in the air and she'll chase them. I got a toy "fishing pole" sort of thing, with feathers at the end, that my cat loves to chase. She also likes it if I take the feathers, hide them under the table and wiggle them around so that they barely stick out. She acts like it's a real mouse or something :D

you can play hide and seek with your cat it looks gay but they love it!!! you get on you hands and knees and hide behind the couch or around the corner and peek out your head then hide again its really fun!
you can give up an old shoelace or buy some from the dollar store. you can tie a bell to the middle, you can get three shoe laces together and hang it from a door frame while your gone, he'll like that. if your cat is old then they usually get lazy. my cat is four years old and he did play any more, but our new puppy is his favorite toy!! they wrestle, and play chase all day.

Don't let him play with shoelaces- he might choke. Or string for that matter. Well, to get him involved, try hiding toys and jiggling them behind things. Don't just dangle it in his face- easy prey isn't FUN prey. [: Good luck, and have fun!

Here's a helpful web site about cheap homemade cat toys. Our cats like some of these things -- like crumpled paper, paper bags and cardboard boxes.

Toilet paper rolls, bottle caps, 35mm camera canisters with a few coins in it. I had one cat. he loved to play constantly meowed. Drove me crazy, I got another cat, and I get maybe 5 minutes of attention from them both now. THey are happy and content, with me living in their little world.

The best thing I ever gave my cat was another cat. They constantly play and run - they're inseperable.
