I was dacing with my hubby at a club, and some girl whom he was seeing was there. I knew who she was , and while I was dancing with him she would look at me and laugh at me. Well when she got closer to me I pulled her hair. We got kicked out, and she called the cops and pressed charges for pulling her hair. The cops asked if I did and I said yes.. I should have lied but its too late now, He asked if I wanted to press charges and I said yes cause she hit me after that. I dont know whats going to happen . He issued me a citation for court... What do you think will happen help???

People do not "press charges" in the United States. Whether any charges are filed against either of you is a decision to be made by a prosecutor. Whether charges are filed in a minor bar fight like this probably depends upon your respective records and whether there are continuing problems at the bar.

The most that could be charged against either of you on these facts is battery. (An assult is an attempted battery, if somebody is actually touched it is battery, not assault.) I don't see any serious consequences from this unless you have a pretty bad prior record.

The DA/Prosecutor that brings this case to a criminal trial will make the Duke Lacrosse DA look like the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. You had better hope he will, you will make millions on the Late Night Talk show circuit after the case is dismissed by the judge or laughed off by a jury of your peers, which would be your constitutional right.

Well I hope you have grow up a little by this experience, but yes, even something as childish as hair pulling is an offense, and remember, she did hit you, but she could claim self-defense, since you started it. Just go to court and admit fault and remorse (even if you did'nt) and say you have learned from this and maybe all your looking at is a fine.

You will both be sent to counseling to help you grow as human beings. You of course, by now, realize how stupid and childish this whole scenario is, right?

You started it, you provoked it and what you did was a case of assault. Assault is against the law and its probably a matter of luck you didnt end up in jail that night.

yes. you touched her in an angry or insolent manner, without her consent. That's battery. She did the same to you. That's battery (unless she was defending herself).

Take her and your husband and do a 3-way. You're screwed already (first, by staying married to a guy who's seeing someone else; and second, because you're attacking your husband's date); you might as well get some good foreplay out of the deal.

And the kicker would BE

.
.
you and the girlfriend hook up and take half your husband's stuff

Most likely a conviction of "Simple Assault" with "time served" when you were arrested for the offense. Certainly, I can see court costs and fines!

Next time....ignore what others do...it's safer!!

Best wishes!

You explanations and excuses are irrelevant. Yes, you are going to jail for assault. You'll become intimate with many forms of assault while in jail. Good luck!

If you have a clean record, you most likely will get probation. I am only going on how you said it happen.

You are guilty, by your own admission, of asualt. Depending on your criminal history or lack thereof, you may plea bargain for probation.

Good luck!

It is possible that since you pulled her hair, you will be charged with assault.
