Wow! How can anyone answer that? Aidan O'Brien has the best resources in terms of expensive thoroughbreds, along with the less successful Saeed Bin Suroor for Godolphin, but I think most people would agree that at that level, i.e the highest level, it is hard to beat the record of Sir Michael Stoute, who I think makes the best job of maximising resources over a long period of time. He has far less ammunition than the other two, but still regularly turns out classic winners.
Are any of these any better than the little guy who does marvellously with 20 horses?
Well your question is an absolute one, not relative, so I guess my answer has to be Michael Stoute, but others who are highly respected with much fewer horses include my favourite Sir Mark Prescott, whose big handicap entries are much feared, James Fanshawe - quality rather than quantity, and John Dunlop who produces high quality winners year after year. Barry Hills has had a particularly good couple of years, while Peter Chapple-Hyam, who has been training abroad until recently is top class.

That is a very difficult question. If "ordinary" trainers had access to the quality of animal and facilities that Aidan O'Brien and Saeed Bin Suroor do, I am sure they'd all be winning the Classics too!

I have a lot of respect for trainers such as Sir Michael Stoute and Sir Mark Prescott, and no one can touch Henry Cecil for his success rate at Royal Ascot and with fillies!

As far as other trainers go, I really like Jeremy Noseda (and have had a lot of success backing his two year olds!) and Barry Hills (his Guineas winner HAAFHD won me A LOT of money!).

It's hard to pick a favourite, they are all good at so many different aspects: Mark Johnston with his two year olds, Sir Mark Prescott with the handicappers, etc etc!

it type of feels to me that alot of the solutions to this question have sterotyped human beings interior the industry. it is unfavourable information, all of it! The horses death and the undeniable fact that it will slowly smash the industry because it has in Australia. Jumps racing is purely allowed in 2 Australian states and till the death stats are saved down and having a raffle and attendance up than it gets canned all at the same time. And fortunately the industry is doing all it could to maintain the sport going. a international examine into the sport should be performed, to make it safer! There are alot of things that impact the sport, breeding, tracks, jumps and so on. As we are all dealing with a similar destiny if some thing isnt performed! regrettably there are somewhat some undesirable eggs interior the industry that do do it involved with the greed, yet there are too many human beings in touch that do love horses and the sport to paint the whole industry with that brush!! i've got worked interior the marketplace for a honest whilst now and cant think of of every person in particular i comprehend it particularly is doing it for the greed, it expenses thank you to lots funds!!! we adore horses and we adore racing! additionally its no longer "greed" it particularly is announcing this yet in maximum situations this is not commercially justifiable to maintain a horse with a broken leg, and as harsh as that sounds it particularly is how the industry works. It does artwork with funds and correctly we cant have horses sitting in paddocks doing no longer something and we cant constantly positioned a horse in a position the place they are in a position to stay real looking that! some human beings might think of those comments are hypocritical yet its difficult to truly understand till you artwork in this industry, and that i got here upon that out myself.
