It sucks that they do, since their hair is nasty after boot camp. Not even Marine recruits have to, I had to because I couldn't keep my hair all neat and perfect, but it depended on who your Senior Drill Instructor was. There was a lot that got away with it because their Senior didn't care. If you do go to Navy boot camp, just get it cut into a cute style that you don't have to tame so that you don't have to get a nasty bob haircut. Gross!!

yup. Navy's the only military branch (I'm assumeing you mean the US Navy) that requires females to have their hair cut short.

I think you do initially. Then if you grow it it needs to be pulled back so nothing is out from under your cap.

Boots get short haircuts.as you progress, you can grow longer..There are length rules....
