Yes, it is set of beliefs which cause some to "preach" their message of "NO GOD!" to whoever will listen. They write their own "bibles" (books on why others should believe as they do).

And their beliefs cause them to live a type of life which is always on the offense.

If atheism is a religion, then health is a disease.

A religion is an organized belief in a supernatural entity or power. Atheists do not believe in the supernatural of any sort. For anyone to call atheism a "religion" is to display that person's ignorance in public.

Or to say it another way:

- hinduism is equivalent to eating cow sh~t
- islam is equivalent to eating camel sh~t
- christianity is equivalent to eating sheep sh~t

Atheists don't eat sh~t.

It is not a different type of sh~t, and just because a christian has a bad taste in his mouth, doesn't mean that atheists have to start consuming such a vile substance. If godbots don't like the taste, they should stop eating instead of trying to force atheists to join them.

No, it's a stance. Atheism means a lack of belief in the existence of deities. That's it. As someone clever once quipped, "Atheism is a religion like bald is a hair color." Or, as James Randi put it, "Atheism is a religion like not collecting stamps is a hobby."

No...

Religion means: (from The American Heritage Dictionary)
1. a.Belief in & reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator or govenor of the universe.
b. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such a belief.
2. A cause or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

Sense it is not a religion, why do so many of them hang out in the "Religion & Spirituality" room on Y!A? Unless they are seaching for something???

It seems to be. They are fanatical with the proof that there is no god. They make up lies to try to prove it, Such as evolution, the geological age of the earth, skulls made out of plaster. Look these things that you put so much faith in up. They are all false. Look up lucy, the fragments that make up a plaster skull, look at the first lunar lander with pods on its feet so that it wouldnt sink into the depths of the cosmic dust that was supposed to be accumulating on the moon that is billions of years old. They believe in thier religion of no god so much that they are blind from reality. When I hear someone claim of proof of no god I look. I want to see the proof, but thankfully there is none.

no, it is an acceptance of reality
We do NOT:
-have meetings
-collect money
-pray
-believe in ANY God
-have a set of rules to live by

...These are ALL of the things that DEFINE religion, we take part in NONE of them, so there is no possible way we can be considered a religion
