Is it really jinxing a marriage/relationship if one were to tattoo their signicant other's name on them?? Or is your marriage what you make of it and no tattoo is going to change that?

My wife and I took that plunge. The proof is on my 360 page. We have been together 13 years, and that's how long we waited to get them done. We have personally made it through some rough patches,(not drugs or abuse, just typical young marriage stuff) so I think we are together for the long haul. If not (and I hope we are together forever) it can easily be modified.

Any marriage is what you make of it and no tattoo or piercing can change that. Personally I had my husbands name tattooed on me after only 4months of dating him and I wouldn't change a thing! And we are still together to this day. 15years, 2 children later and we're still happier than ever. Any relationship depends on how hard both partners are willing to work at it. Tattoos and/or piercings make no difference on how the relationship is goes. It's all hard work and determination!
Hope this helps and good luck!

i personally would never get my husband's name tattooed on me. i have known tons of people who have gotten tattoos related to their spouse and many times it doesn't work out. i have been married for five years and i obviously don't ever plan on getting a divorce but i don't know what the future holds. i say it is a jinx but do a i actually think that relationships are doomed if you get a tattoo related to it? no, but it sure is a pain in the butt to have to deal with the tattoo after the relationship is over!

While I wouldn't get my husband/boyfriends name on me, I don't think it jinxes the relationship. You should know if you have a good relationship and while anything can happen, tattoos can sometimes serve as a reminder of why you're with that person and how you got to where you are now.

I prefer symbolism over names, but to each his/her own.

No tattoo is going to change your marriage. I have hubby fred's name on me in 2-3 different places. We been together for 20 years. The oldest tat is 10 years old and the newest is 3 months (our 20th anniversary).

wellll...i wouldn't suggest getting a tattoo anyway but if you did...- if you love your husband and your really sure the marriage is gonna last GO 4 IT! but if your not that sure that you and your Hubie are gonna be together 4-ever i wouldn't put something that permanent on you....but besides that i dont think a tattoo is gonna jinx anything...

i would never do this. When my baby's dad and i were together, he got my name on him, and he wanted me to do it.. i said no way... we aint gonna be together for ever so i aint gonna do it. lol we broke up two years ago and the fool had to find a girl with my name so he can say its hers.. buttom line is you'll regret.IF you get it, and break up your still gonna have his name for life. and it'll always remind you of him.

No way would I do it. It might not be bad for this relationship but it might be for the next one, if you get my drift.
