I misunderstood thinking there would be a 'pool' of bones for the project in my daughter's class, but each child was supposed to have their own. She has to have them in by Friday and the instructions I have says it takes 2 weeks to dry them out.
HELP!!! please?

I always "jumpstart" the drying of turkey wishbones in the microwave. I "cook" it for about 3 minutes and then turned it and did it for 2 more. Then we put them in the oven for 2-4 hours at 250 degrees.

Maybe with more bones you will need to increase the temp. To keep the bones from browning and thus looking like a "speed job", put a cookie sheet on the rack above the bones and this will keep them covered and keep them from browning.

Stick them in the oven on the lowest setting possible if you have an electric stove. If gas just leave them in there the pilot light and whatnot makes them relatively warm, maybe, I haven't used gas in a long time.

I don't know how long it would take. Maybe 24 hours or more

You may want to mention to the teacher that that is a rather macabre project she is having young kids do. I think if it were my child's class I would keep her out the day the bones of dead birds were being used for whatever they're going to use them for.

You might need to leave them in the oven overnight -- depends on the bones, keep checking them. You can see when they are dried out.
