OK, here's what I've come to understand what I'm "supposed" to do in a day:

Sleep for eight hours
Work for eight hours
Shower
Eat three to five meals
Drink 8 glasses of water
Drink 2 glasses of orange juice
Drink 1 glass of milk
Workout for at least an hour
Shower again
Clean the house
Participate in hobbies
Raise the kids right if you have them (help with homework and such)
Spend time with your loved ones
Do something for yourself
Relax
Commute

. . . . .

No wonder we are so stressed out.

Personally, I think relaxing is the best item on that list. :) It helps you both mentally and physically.

Write in journal

Reward yourself

Good answer JT, Dr Metcalfe will be proud when you tell him how well you answered other peoples questions, you should write this one down in your journal to show him, maybe he will have a computer that you can show him on, it's great that you have come so far to communicate with strangers, even if it is only on the internet, it's such a long way. Now go and make a note and reward yourself, you've done well

There are a great many things that people must do on a daily basis...not sure what you are asking for here.

As far as mental fitness, it's a good idea to read, to research things that interest you, and look for things that might interest you, the more you learn and continue to learn the more mentally fit you will remain.

Swim or do aerobics for half an hour. It helps relieve stress and you get exercise.

Learn something. Your day is wasted if you don't learn something new, even if it's just a new card game. Studies show that stimulating your brain can slow or prevent the onset of diseases like Alzheimer's.

Call someone you love even if you only tell them you love them.

If you find yourself reaching for the remote, reach for a good book instead.

Besides your daily routine, you should exercise around 30 mins every day. Doing a puzzle like Suduko, or a word game. Take inspiration from those around you and try to inspire people you meet.
