Usually about 5/6 months, but I've had them go in heat as early as 4 months. We're in the same boat right now. We have two in heat age kittens and a 5 month old male. We keep a large cage on hand for a sick or injured cat, so we put him in there. You need to go and get the male neutered right away. The female can wait until she's 6 months old, most vets won't fix a female until age 6 months and male at age 7 months. Only reason I'm waiting is my vet offered me a 30% discount if I wait and bring all 3 in at one time. But go get the male fixed now and then the female at 6 months, you and they will be happier. Otherwise you'll need lock up one of them for the next three months. Our male kitten was raised using a cage and will go in on his own, so he doesn't mind getting locked up.

They can start as young as 4 months old.
Do you realize that for every 1 person born, there are 7 puppies and kittens
born? At best, 1 will find a forever home.
And don't forget, that every "Free-to-good-home" litter takes homes away
from animals already at the shelter.
STOP letting your pets; or your friends, relatives or co-workers pets
contribute to the problem.
If you love animals, it is NOT ENOUGH to merely say "My pets are fixed".
Vow to educate and enable others to fix their pets too.
Spaying just 1 female dog or cat, will prevent 6 others from ending up in a
shelter the following year.
Please be part of the solution, NOT the problem!
Thank you. ^..^

everywhere from 5 to 12 months is the age variety a cat could have her first warmth. it will be distinct with each and each cat. the common of 6 - 8 months of age is often given, yet a human being can would properly be older or youthful than this. that is exceedingly suggested to spay her earlier to a first warmth.

Both female and male cats should be fixed no younger than 6 months old. If your male is not fixed yet, do so cuz he will spray around your house and u cant get the smell out!

Around 6-7 months of age. But your male cat is old enough to be neutered now. Get him fixed now and your female when she is 6mo.

I THINK, I don't know, but from 5 or 6 months on or so....maybe a little older. My vet wanted my kitty fixed at 5 months "before she went into heat" so I can only assume.

usually around 6 months (but they all dont read the book) your 3 month old is prob. not in heat, its your male who's hormones are raging right now..he is way old enough to be neutered, but get your female spayed as soon as your vet will do it, we spay around 5 or 6 months but many vets will do it sooner.
