Ok so my dad passed away recently and i wanna get his face tattooed on my back in memory of him i was wonder if that was called a profile tattoo because iam trying to do a search to get some ideas but nothing is coming up :(

a profile is someone's face from the side (like if they are looking left or right and you can't see them straight on) but a tattoo of someone is usually referred to as a portrait.
the best thing you can do is research good portrait artists in your area. not very many artists are great at doing portraits. it takes years of practice to perfect them and i have seen quite a few horrible ones. good luck, i'm sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry about your dad...best thing to do if you have a friend or relative that can draw is to draw or sketch out what you're looking for and then bring it in to a tattoo artist to perfect what you want...
