Yes, all dogs shed, even the supposedly hypoallergenic ones or ones with "hair" insead of fur. Hypoallergenic dogs just shed a lot less.
Specific to lab/poodle crosses, it's just that. A cross. So you've got equal chances of getting a dog with the high-shedding Lab coat or a dog with the low-shedding Poodle coat. Or you could get something in between and end up with a medium-shedding dog. You're basically playing roulette with genetics and there's no way to know for sure with any of the designer mixes out there.

More than likely, YES - and no real guarantees can be made about them, as they are a MIXED BREED dog. Labradors are one of the heaviest shedding breeds, and have a natural oily coat to protect them while retrieving in the water. Poodles are low shedding & low allegy dogs, but you can not mix two breeds & guarantee anything about the resulting pups - even littermates can vary widely from one another.
Genetics can not magically be transformed to pick the best of both breeds - any claim otherwise is a lie perpetuated by the scam artist 'designer dog' breeders, which are only trying to make money off of mutts - very sad, since it dooms more in shelters to death from lack of homes, while they greedily line their pockets.
Here are some legitimate breeds that are low allergy & low shedding: http://www.akc.org/news/index.cfm?article_id=2588
(Two you might like to check out are the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier & the Portugese Water Dog - without the 'show haircut', they are cuties!) Always deal with reputable breeders that belong to their breeds club - these are the good people who are working to improve a breed, test their dogs for health problems known to their breed, and will be there to answer any questions you have throughout your pet's life.

The idea is that they will have the great temperment of a lab, but the "hair" of a poodle (mostly non-shedding). Like others have said, it guarantee which parent they'll favor. My husband used to have a rat--I mean poodle and it shed a little bit but not like our lab- I swear I clean up enough hair in one day to make 2 more dogs!! So, the goal is no, but it really could go either way.

My 2 adult males are no longer neutered as i believe the testosterone is mandatory in a male canine to accomplish greater powerful as I do overall performance activities with my canine. Plus it protects the canine from harm. As for preserving him from breeding that truly isn't difficult to do exactly coaching. And purely so which you comprehend i'm no longer a breeder and that i've got not got any plans on being a breeder. additionally do no longer tell me that my canine might get testicular maximum cancers confident this is a danger however the prospect of him dieing from this is a million in a one thousand. Now for the customary public of puppy vendors in case you do no longer prepare your canine or look after her or him right then spay and neuter

Yes they do. Although Poodles are great for people who have allergies. Labs are not. They are also worst dog you can have if you have allergys. So if u want a dog that does bother you. You have to get a pure breed. Poodles are great dogs. But if you are not secure with yourself owning a poodle. Then get Schnauzer, another great dog. BOTH BREED ARE WAY SMARTER THEN A DUMB LAB.

They are a mix between a high shedding breed (Lab) and a low shedding breed (Poodle) so yes many do shed. Some shed a lot, some moderate and some low. There is no way of knowing in which category they will fall until you live with a particular one.

They are just as likely to take after the Labrador in coat type as they are the Poodle. That's the problem with cross breeds.

PLEASE people - PLEASE - DO NOT buy these so called "Designer breeds" of dogs!! All they are is mixed breeds whose "breeders" are charging an exhorbidant price for them!
No offense to mixed breeds - they can be wonderful!!!
BUT PLEASE - go to the HUMANE SOCIETY & adopt a mixed breed there. Don't encourage these people to keep breeding these dogs & make a fool of yourself by buying one. You can make up your OWN designer breed!!!
Adopt a dog you like @ the pound - & then make up his breed name! Maybe you will have the only one of his kind!
