Well it seems that your computer disk has a bad ergonomic design.
1) Try to elevate your seat, so your hand would be below your heart level. This will also decrease the muscle strain in your neck.
2) get a mouse pad with those squishy things so that your hand would be on something soft instead of the sharp edge of the desk which cuts down on the blood supply for your hand.
3)Cut down on the hours of computer if possible

Poor circulation causes extremities to get cold. It can be brought on by many things but the elevation of your hand causes the heart to work harder. Its no big deal and any activity involving movement will bring the temperature back to normal.

probably because your hand is held up at an angle, causing the blood circulation to slow down. Happens to me all the time. Just let your hand hang down by your side for a few minutes every so often to restore circulation.
Hope this helps!

Me, too. I think that the elevation of the hand is slightly above the wrist, which is slightly above the forearm. THis makes for less bloodflow...
try sitting higher than your desk, or even better-
putting a pillow, book, and then the mouse pad on your lap. Or, same for the keyboard, no book.
You may have a better time!

The circulation in your hands can be poor, and/or if your hands are higher then your elbows (which are most likely bent) than the blood flow is restricted. Remember, your hands are normally down.

that happens to me sometimes too... however, my hands are always cold. it might mean because since your not moving around much, the blood isn't flowing as much or something, but don't quote me on that. even when i'm really warm my hands are cold so dont worry about it!

Because your hands are elevated, so your heart as to pump blood harder, to get the blood up the angle, so they get cold from the poor circulation.

Lack of good circulation of blood flow. Give your hand a rest by changing positions or shaking it from time to time.

I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM...MY HAND GETS COLD WHEN ON THE COMP. RECENTLY I'VE MOVED MY MOUSE PAD TOWARD THE BACK EDGE OF THE DESK & NOW MY ELBOW IS SUPPORTED ALSO. AND I HAVE A SMALL DESK LAMP THAT WARMS UP THE AREA. BUT I THINK SUPPORT OF THE WHOLE ARM IS IMPORTANT.

It could be your circulation or a pinched nerve. I'd get it checked out if it doesn't go away in a couple of days. If you smoke, then I would suggest quitting.
