it reaally hurts and ive had it scince yesterday and i cant sleep with it ... is it just part of my cold? please help

It depends whether the cause is bacterial or viral. If bacterial, the condition should clear up with proper use of antibiotic drops in 5 to 7 days. If viral, drops won't help much at all. The virus generally has to run its course, typically in 1 or 2 weeks.

Pink eye is contageous so I hope you went to the dr and got antibiotic drops coz that is what you need. You need also to keep your hands very clean and away from your face and wash your face as often as possible between drops

It is very contagious and remains so even with the drops the doctor prescribes until the matting and redness is gone. The eye though should begin to feel better with the medicine.

the eye heals very fast, if the drop are for pink eye it should clear up in just a couple of days, does it itch??

You will feel the results instantly after the first drop. It clears up very fast.

a few days after you start your antibiotic. put a hot compress or hot washcloth on it then it should start to feel better
