There is a train station at BWI Airport. Both commuter rail and Amtrak trains stop there, but there is no commuter rail service on Sundays so Amtrak is one option. Or else, you can take the Metro to Greenbelt, and then a bus to BWI Airport. Both the Metro and the bus are operated by the same system and the website is www.wmata.com they have schedule and fare information. It might be a little bit cheaper but will also probably take a lot longer to do that option. As far as I know those are the only public transit options (far cheaper than a taxi) but you can also go to www.bwiairport.com for more information just go to "ground transportation options."

Metrorail (green line) to greenbelt station and then the B30 express bus to BWI will cost you aboue $4.85, depending on what station you start at downtown.

You can also catch the MARC train from Washington Penn station to BWI. I'm not sure if it runs on Sundays, though. It costs about $10.
