I weaned my almost 15 month old about two weeks ago and the past week I have been really hormonal. Crying for no reason, snippy to my kids and husband, really really tired and just generally feeling kinda icky.

Yes yes yes! And with good reason...your body is stopping its production of milk. On top of the hormones involved in that, it is a very emotional time for a mom to stop this very intimate connection with her baby. And your boobs probably hurt! Get a lot of rest, cuddle and connect with your baby, and eat healthy and exercise. Exercise will boost some happy hormones. And hey, now that you're not nursing, indulge in some chocolate and wine!

Yes it can be normal....your baby is getting older and that can be sad to alot of mothers...knowing their baby doesnt need their comfort from breastfeeding. Plus the hormonal changes, it takes a while for your body to adjust. Just take deep breathes, and try to treat yourself when you can...it will pass.

Of course they can.... since you've been pregnant your body has been producing different hormaones related to the pregnancy. And, since you have been breastfeeding those hormones are still not "normal". Your body is going through yet another adjustment... hopefully it won't be too long to get back to yourself.

Mine did, and I was down to one feeding a day. The worst part was migraines kicked in too.
