I found 1-2 strands of white hair on my two-year old son. Is this normal? Is he lacking some sort of nutrients?

It is normal, my 2 year old has mostly strawberry blonde hair, but there are black and white/grey strands in there also. Don't worry:)

I was born with a few strands of white hair. I am a brunette. I am now 25 and well lets just say that I have more than a few strands of white hair now and they are more noticeable now then when I was younger.

Vitamin deficiency can cause white hair, but some children have a little splotch of white hair as a "birth mark". If he's got blond or light brown hair it could have just been one of the paler hairs.

I think folicle damage can also cause it, so if he ever had serious cut in his head I think that could do it.

Don't worry. The pigment in your kids hair is just a little off at this age. My dad had "white" hair when he was a kid, but now, his hair is a nice chocolate brown. The white you see is really just a very light blond.

I think that is perfectly normal, is his hair blonde? If so that is probubly why. I once seen a new born baby that had hair snow white and had really white skin. I think it was albino. It was a pretty baby though.

My nephew has brown hair and one thick strip of completely white hair. The doctor said it's just the pigment! There's nothing wrong with him at all!

My son has the same problem. The doctor said to wait awhile to see if he gets more before they do any testing to see if something is wrong.

If he is very blonde, he may be becoming "tow-headed."
