I have had two yorkies. Both seem to get up and move around alot.
They are not a sight type breed. Their vision is about 10-15 feet, unless the object is moving.
Their depth perception is very poor, they will jump from heights that are too high for them, beware.
They have an extra keen sense of hearing. That is why they are such barkers, it's their job to sound the alarm. I whisper to her when I want her to stop barking. I let her out when she hears the neighborhood dogs start. At the command "go barking" she lights up and gets it out of her system.
They both would move more at night because they hear things I can't. I started leaving a blue night light on and they both started moving less, and sleep more.
My yorkies did not like the dark, but really enjoy watching the westminster dog shows.

I don't know if your yorkie specifically has nite vision, but I do know that they can see better than a human at nite...our yorkies eyes radiated a yellowish color at nite that I suspect enlarged their pupils in order for them to see better...they were as quick to go places, find things and see in the nite as they were in the day.

my mom has two yorkies and I have never known about them having night vision...the yorkie is probably so used to your place by now and know where he/she is everyones eyes adjust to the darkness also so they may also just be adjusting and maybe finding its way around.. or it may sleep walk

i think dogs have better vision than a person in the dark. ever notice if you see a dog or cat in the dark, their eyes have that green glowy look? i think that's because the pupils dialate more to take in more light. so i guess it is sort of night vision!
