I think pittbulls are the best dogs .I wouldent own any thing put a pittbull thay are protective and loving dogs thay just need some one to love and care about them insted people are the ones who make them mean and fight

People are very ignorant when it comes to pit bulls. I just got my first in July and I was very apprehensive about getting her. She had been tied to a fence in the scorching Central California heat, my husband is a police officer so the cops were called and she was taken back to the station and nobody would take her home. In the town where my husband works dogs aren't even given a chance to be adopted out before they are put down so I met her and immediately loved her. She has been awesome. I have 3 small children and she is fantastic with them. After I got her I decided to inform myself on her breed and found out that most of the time when the media says a pit bull has attacked again it is usually another breed. Furthermore; pit bulls are the least likely dogs to bite humans because when they were brought over to America for fighting if they bit a human they were immediately destroyed therefore; weeding out the violent ones.
Most people don't care what I say about her they still think she is going to kill me and my family in our sleep our something but that is pure ignorance. I love my pit and she is the best dog I have ever had and I don't think that I will ever have another breed.
A BAN ON PITS IS THE DUMBEST THING I HAVE HEARD ALL DAY!!!!!

hi myself i have a staff and hes loving and protective.i could think that the pit is very much like staff.yes sadly a number of pits fall into the wrong hands and turn them into killers .that mean that them dogs will never know love and being care for .that they are lovely dogs and it a shame

I agree that they are loving dogs and should not be banned. Any dog can be violent depending on how it is raised. Why just pitbulls?

i so agree my pitbull is the nicest dog ive ever seen she loves to love and be loved she licks every one she sees she would never hurt anyone or anyone.

i agree if the pitbull is ban why don't we just ban every dog that gets over 65lbs.not that i would.

i love my pittie, she is very sweet and submissive. it all depends on how you raise them, just like any other dog! ive been bit at more by labs and chihuawas than any other dogs and they are considered good family dogs.

i agree 100%, right now i am going through somethings just because i own a pit. some guy is saying that he got bit by my pit. some ppl are just prejudice against them.
