Honey, law is a dynamic field- constantly changing.
You really need to speak with an attorney. Even call a couple of precincts around the area, in Texas, at least. I went straight to the cops when my 32-year-old friend was being stalked by someone who used to be a good friend, and she wasn't sure of the definition of stalking. I got the answer straight from the people who would show up if the law were to be enforced!
Good luck!

I think you should listen to your mom. I know it is hard for teenagers to understand this but, your mom has so many more years of experience than you do. So she can see farther and deeper in to any situation than you can. I know you say you love him but in a few years you're going to be a completely different person, and the chances that you'll still love him when that day comes is very slim. It might be hard to break up with him now but it will get better. I think at your age the most important love to you should be your mother's. I know you're probably really mad at your mom for tearing you apart but why would she if she didn't have a good reason to? Parents want the best for their kids they don't want to make them miserable. Please listen to your mom now and in the future. I'm sure she can give insight that can save you a lot of pain and heartache.

It depends on the age of consent for your state. If you're under the age of consent, then no matter how much you love your boyfriend, he's still technically committing statuatory rape. Your mother could take him to court on those grounds if she thinks it's right. I think statuatory rape only applies to if you're sexually active with this person, though. He's twenty-one, though, so if he's giving you alcohol or buying you cigarettes then it's also illegal, no matter what state you're in. You'll be eighteen soon, though, and legally an adult.
I looked it up, Texas' age of consent is seventeen. So I think the only thing that stands is alcohol/tobacco. Be careful/be safe.

Texas -The age of consent is 17. The minimum age is 14 with an age differential of 3 years; thus, those who are at least 14 years of age can legally have sex with those less than 3 years older.

there is nothing illegal at all. i mean, what could possibly be? loving him? and having sexual relations it`s your problem. it`s not above or against the law. just because you`re not 21 doesn`t mean you can`t love. and there is noone, noone at all who can change your feelings for him.

You know what, you should just go ahead and let this guy *** your brains out. What difference does it make. Your parents are trying to protect you and have your best interest at heart, All this guy wants is what's between your legs. You deserve whatever he give you.
