You go to your I-Tunes library and click on File which brings up a massive list of commands. Pick Add Folder and then copy the folder from Windows Media Player into your I-Tunes library. As it is going into the I-Tunes library all the songs are being changed into code your I-Pod will recognise and this will allow you to upload the songs onto your I-Pod.

access where you have your music stored on your computer and use the "import files" option in iTunes. this will convert the file type from the windows media file to something the iTunes can recognize and put in the library.
