my ex sent me a message the other day asking me what i would do differently if we got back together. this comes all of a sudden when the whole time (3 years) i asked for her back and she never responded to me with any interest whatsoever up until now. i know she's still in a relationship at the moment which just confuses me all the more as to why she'd have a sudden change of heart. she's been asking me personal questions lately which to me seemed like she's interested to what i've been upto only to turn around and write a blog about how she wants to stay in her current relationship even at the hard times she's in. i don't know what to do.

You should move on...just move on. It will never be what it was no matter how hard you try. And you shouldn't have too. Find someone who accepts YOU, enjoys doing the things you enjoy, and most of all, makes you laugh! Happiness is the only option!

Seems that you are her BEST. She is trying to gather all the reasons why she wants to get out of the current relationship. You know . . . . . Reasons why stay-vs-Reasons to go. I didn't say that I agree, just telling you what this is in my opinion.
Anyway, just listen and still be receptive to her. Don't try to analyze cause you CAN'T. She is thinking too many things all at once. Don't try and draw conclusions to the famous question WHAT DOES THAT MEAN????? It just means that she wanted to know. There is nothing to figure out. No hidden/secret code.
Seems that she wants to get a guys perspective on the situations that she is asking you about cause she TRUSTS YOU and TRUSTS YOUR OPINION.

Gotta love women... I say just ask her straight up what her intentions are. And, even if it is hard, don't let her break up with/cheat on her current man. Even though it may be good for you, it proves she's untrustworthy, and it just sucks to be cheated on or left.

She could be reexamining her life. I wouldn't say confused neccesarily, but maybe just wondering? Ask her what the point is. If you want her back, tell her again.

dont do it she crawling back cause she is bored. ur like her re bound. it wont last more then a year. i have seen it work and seen it fail horribly
