Well, it would've helped to have started way, way earlier. I don't know how much material you have to cover and how well you've been keeping up with your coursework, but try this:

- Determine how well you know your stuff already, by looking back on your homework and class notes. Then, scan the subject matter from the book for key phrases and the like and see if it looks familiar. Try and tell yourself what it's about. If you're clueless, you're in bad shape. If you're not, you'll be ok.

- If you're in bad shape you really need to get your rear in gear. You can either try and run through everything actively by re-reading everything and making the practice questions from your book.
- If you're in good shape you may want do the above if you have time, especially if you're not good in any of the topics of your midterm. Thouroughly read the text and actively store the information. Use a highlighter. Think about what you may need to know for your midterm. Keep testing yourself to see if you understand everything you've read. "Reading" this way isn't exactly fast, but it's more effective then reading it quickly twice or even three times. If you have time, I strongly recommend making a summary. It helps the active storing part and makes it easier to work through the material the second time around because all the useless bits are taken out. You can see the essentials and quickly scan and pick out key words, lists, charts and all.

Even though you're pressed for time, remember to take a 15 minute break every hour or so. Drink something, eat something, move your body a little and think about something else. It's good for your body and your concentration levels. Eat an apple right before your midterm and don't drink water right before or afterwards - your body spends extra time dealing with the water instead of with the midterm. The apple is for energy. Also, don't cut out sleep and stay up late. You don't absorb as much info at night as you do during the day, and your test-taking skills are MUCH better if you're not grogging from your lack of sleep.

If you have time, try and get a head start on Thursday and Friday's stuff. Repetition is key and will help you out a bunch.

Don't stress out. It'll be all right. Just create a study plan and stick to it. You'll be fine if you don't get distracted on the internet. ;)

Good luck. :)

First off, never, ever, ever, and I mean ever cram for multiple exams, it just does not work. What you can do is read the material that is important, read over it many times the day before, and the time of the exam, skim thru it a few times, but get up early and read thru the material again. Now once you get thru the exams, the next time just read all of the material of the notes that day, and the material of the class with the notes that you took the last time to get your mind into the right frame of mind. If you do this almost everyday, and leave at leave 2 days free to enjoy yourself, you will improve dramatically. There is a 3 day rule, if you memorize that one thing 3 days in a row, it goes into your long term memory. I know this because I am a student myself studying to become a doctor... trust me on this it works.

Hi. I think you should not think for your grade in the mid exam. First of all think some while and plane your Study preparation how you like to prepare for your exam. A question can come to you in many different ways. so don't get confused yourself about answering the question. If you know the question patterns then divide your exam time for the questions you are going to answer. Try to complete those question in time. Infact time is very important. Sometime start writing questions and forget about the exam time. Then it will be a great problem. At the end of the exam save 10 minits for your revision. It will help you to check the all answers that u have to complete. If you foget to answer one question then try to write it down in the remaining time. Now for your Exam preparation night u must be relax. Just go through to ur study and make sure that u have covered all section of ur exam. On the exam night we cant able to take a good sleep and some time we cant sleep. In your bed time switch off lights and switch on your table lamp and read the books of ur exam till your sleep dont come. Dont try to think other things about ur exam. Then get up eary in the morning and take a quick review of ur exam books. I hope u will do better than what u thought.
Best of Luck.

At first do not panic
then try to get a small plan for your study
begin with the subject you like
look for the type of questions that occur in the exam
try to have a night sleep before the exam
let your study be in the early morning
just concentrate on what you are doing , do not think of results now. God help you

From past experiences, I took a lot of red bull energy drinks to keep me focus and help me stayed awake so that I can pull an all nighter, and of course coffee always help to stay awake. I also suggest that make sure you can make it to the exam, you don't want to sleep during. As always, all nighter is a bad habit to have when studying. You can only retain the information only for a short period of time, but passing is more important than retaining the info. Hope this help.

studying for most people, is much more effective if you start weeks before the test and learn a small amount each day and constantly re-read/study the material. it takes time for concepts and ideas to unfold after learning them. you'd be amazed what will happen if you review material and then take a break to let yourself think about what you just read. since you are lacking in time, i'd stick to 30-60 minutes on 10 minutes off with studying. i would review the material the night before the test, and then get up early and study a few hours before, and then right before

Make a general outline of the material covered by the exam (one outline per exam).

Review each topic on your outline.

If you had more time I would suggest putting yourself in the instructors shoes and writing your own exam questions to cover the material in your outline. You can't predict every question, but if you make a couple of questions for each topic in your outline and focus on being able to answer those it should improve your final score.

You need to concentrate on your subject matter but not tire yourself out so much that you get blank on the exam day. I recently gave an aptitude test and in between brushing up my GK I always managed to play a few games of Scrabble at Scrabulous - http://www.scrabulous.com - and it helped me a lot to keep focus without idling away my time.

Studies show that studying for 20 mins and then talking a 5 min break allows you to be most alert and retain the most information. Try it
