We are planning a group vacation and had pretty much settled on Nassau (an island in the Bahamas), but I have been starting to hear things about how dirty it is there and about how bad the poverty/crime can be after dark. Is this true? How is the night life? Any suggestions on anywhere else to go that is tropical and has a great night life?

If you want the Caribbean, go to Jamaica! Jamaica has beaches like the Bahamas, but it ALSO has culture!
If you are willing to go anywhere in the world with good beaches, then, I wouldn't go to the Caribbean AT ALL!

Carribean would be a good choice. But I went to India and saw one of the most beautiful and the only monument of love in the world called Taj Mahal. My family tour package called Golden Triangle Tour was arranged by Smile India Tour which was very cheap. They further arranged dental tourism (Dental Care India Tour) and got me Zoom teeth whitening in which we husband and wife saved $350 each in US money. Since you are planning a group travel, it might be reaonably cheap. I found India culturaly very rich with warm and friendly people. I do not really know about night life there.

How about travel to Malaysia (tropical country). This year is A Visit Malaysia Year. Malaysia has so many to offer.

Cancun! It is not just for teenagers who want to get drunk. There is a lot history and sites to see. My mother-in-law and her husband went a few years ago and they said if they could pick one place to go to again that would be it, hands down.
