Since you live in Australia each State has a controlling dog body for example in Victoria it is the VCA and the lilst goes on.Only they can issue breeders registration papers for pure bred dogs. The breeder will have a prefix and breeds under that.If you want a pet you should go for what is called limited register which simply means you are getting a registered pet and the papers are pink and give you the father and mother and 2 further generations of its ancestors who all have titles, names and numbers. If you inend breeding or showing you have to get blue papers on Main Register but l can assure you you won't be able to get these as most breeders protect their breeding and show stock carefully and also charge far far more for Main register. The reputable breeders who belong to these bodies which are basically governed by the ANKC (Australia) and must provide you with the registration paper, immunization certificate and microchip no papers. Some breeders may insist on you signing a contract agreeing to de-sex the dog you have and sometimes these also include health guarantees, thats up to the breeder you choose.No-one can give you a lifetime guarantee but they can give you a lifetime backup so you can come back to the breeder for help and if the dog is not suitable it must be returned to the breeder in question.A pedigree sheet can be whipped up on any computer but this is a backyard breeder and avoid these people as some of them have managed to sneak into the governing bodies but they do not test their animals for hereditary diseases and most breeders will also prpovide you with these certificates if you are getting a breed that has hereditary problems like eyes, skin,HD and the list is endless.l do not know what you mean by CKC as that is the Canadian governing body and not one in Australia that is recognized. There you are, registration papers, pink or blue, diet sheets, health sheets, contracts and a backup is what you need so do not setttle for less as if you take short cvuts you will not get a pure bred dog no matter how much someone may try and convince you. There are occasions where a breeder has a contract with you that when you de-sex the puppy you get at around 7 mths you will then get the registration papers and they will show you the papers and demand a vet certificate as proof that you have done the right thing. There is nothing wrong with this except some governing bodies are not too keen on these practices but it is still acceptable and legal,Hope l have helped. If you are lookiing for a particular breed you can look up Dogzonline on the internet and you will find some breeders but be selective do not just choose one as that person has a lot to say about their dogs and the site looks pretty.Visit several breeders and look at their dogs as well as puppies. If they are Show people and they should be or l would not touch them ask about awards, ribbons etc.Your States governing body will also have a website so you may find a breeder there. l could recommend a good reliable breeder for boxers but l do not know what State you live in and how far you wish to travel. One hint do not buy a white boxer as the genuine boxer people euthanize them for good reasons.Goodluck.

A black boxer is a serious fault!!
"Color
The colors are fawn and brindle. Fawn shades vary from light tan to mahogany. The brindle ranges from sparse but clearly defined black stripes on a fawn background to such a heavy concentration of black striping that the essential fawn background color barely, although clearly, shows through (which may create the appearance of reverse brindling). White markings, if present, should be of such distribution as to enhance the dog's appearance, but may not exceed one-third of the entire coat. They are not desirable on the flanks or on the back of the torso proper. On the face, white may replace part of the otherwise essential black mask, and may extend in an upward path between the eyes, but it must not be excessive, so as to detract from true Boxer expression. The absence of white markings, the so-called "plain" fawn or brindle, is perfectly acceptable, and should not be penalized in any consideration of color. Disqualifications Boxers that are any color other than fawn or brindle. Boxers with a total of white markings exceeding one-third of the entire coat."

If he is pure bred, you probably have a very dark brindle with no white markings. The boxer does not carry the black gene. Look here at genetics of the Boxer. http://www.newcastleboxers.com/inheritance.shtml There is no such thing as a black boxer!

Since it's genetically impossible to have a pure bred truly black Boxer I'm assuming your female is adding another litter of mixed breed pups to the world. PLEASE have your dogs spayed and neutered. Do NOT seperate the pups from the Mom until they are at LEAST 8 weeks old. Good luck.

The new owners will name them what they want to.
My suggestion for the birth & after the birth is to use newspaper instead of material in the birthing area because puppies can & do suffocate with material items.
