okay,I want a tattOo that everyone can see, and yes I understand where you people are coming from when you say "your name"? on wrist? what sense does that make and "are you going to forget your name?" I actually had considered that before,I never understOod why people got TATTOOS of their names on their wrist,But,1.I plan on getting 4-6 tattoos before I die because I love art I love to express myself in all types of ways, tattoos are one of the ways that I want too.I would want my first tatt as my name because it would look pretty,it seems simple, quick, and easy.I'm not ready for a big tattoo yet and yes I KNOW there are smaller tattoos but I want my name..I was going to get japanese writing on my arm, I was going to get "love" in japanese on my arm or "hope" or something referring to that. But,I've made my decision and my name is what I want unless I go there and change my mind otherwise.

as long as you have thoroughly thought about it then good luck! you may want to consider having a temporary air brush tattoo done on your wrist first just to see if you actually do want it there. you'd be surprised how odd it is to see something there that normally isn't. sometimes i still look down at my feet and am surprised to see them covered with ink.

Don't jump into the decision. Remember, these things are PERMANENT, and it costs a lot of money and quite a bit of pain to get them removed. I got the Chinese symbol for "laughter" tattooed onto my back between my shoulder blades, and some days I regret it. If you like art so much, consider designing your own design. I feel now like I conformed to what everyone else does with tattoos.

Luckily I'm going to Ireland in March, so I have a chance to get something completely unique to remind myself of the great times I'm going to be spending with my friends.

My friend has 4 tattoos i have 2. She has a stick man mowing a lawn right by her crotch, the guyanese flag filled into a gecko, her name on her back, and her name in arabian in between her boobs. I have a Treble clef on my ankle and the portuguese and vincentian flag on my back. if you want you should get your name done down your forearm just because some workplaces you have to cover up all tattoos and if u get it on your wrist it's gonna be harder.

Okay...there is really no need to defend yourself. You don't have to impress us or explain yourself. I still think its a bit odd, but its something that I'll never understand. I'm sure I do things you wouldn't get...

Consider it even and good luck with your tattoo.

Go to your tattoo artist and say that you want it covered up. He or she will suggest what sort of design would be best to cover it up and get you to look at some designs. They might even design one for you. You'll be surprised at how well they can cover them up.

it's whatever you want to do...i think that it would be cute to get your name in japanese instead of english, but again it's your call... a tattoo is 4ever (i heard removing it is dangerous)
