Fix as in his aggressiveness towards strangers and cars. When a stranger comes, he goes nuts and charges at them, barking and snapping. Visitors are seriously scared to even exit their cars even though he's only 10 pounds. He really reminds me of a pitbull when he's like that. He is "fixed" in terms of his manhood.

He's normally sweet and playful but he has bit me when I reach for his food or try to break up a fight between him and his sister from another litter.

You can fix it..it will take some time but I think it's necessary. Your dog needs to know you are alpha dog, right now he's got you wrapped around his lil tail. Training can be expensive, and a dog will relapse what has been learned if there's any slack with the disipline. Try getting a few training books and teaching yourself how to train your dog. But taking him to a trainer might also be good for your dogs socialization.

You must be able to make your dog listen to you when your outside. He needs to sit when you tell him to. When a car goes by and he goes crazy make him sit and ignore his ranting. When he finally gets no response from you he will eventually stop doing it. He thinks that he's protecting you butr if you show him it's not scaring you then he'll stop. Know what I mean?Same with the people at the door. When someone knocks he goes crazy right, then out of embarrassment you try to make him stop by picking him up and telling him no. He is is protecting you again...it is his chihuahua duty! If you yell at him for barking that's a nervous response and he will bark even more. He thinks the behavior he's showing is 'good' b/c he got attention.

plan for someone to come over to try this exercise with you: Make sure you tell them to igore your dog the entire time.
Have them knock on the door, let the person right in and ignore the dog completely, don't even look at him. This will show that you have everything under control he doesn't need to keep barking he should stop.

you are suffering from alpha male syndrome. You can only fix him by becoming the dominant in your relationship. the only thing the dog knows is dominance and right now he is dominant over you. if you want to fix the problem it will take time and patience from you. You need to start teaching him that you are in control right now. if he snaps at you when you reach for his bowl, put him on the ground until he submits to you. do not worry about size. do it and do it now, and every single time. make him expose his belly. do this for every aggressive action no matter what. in a couple of months he will learn who is the top dog so to say. i have 1 black lab and 2 weims and all are 90 lbs. plus and every single one knows who is in control. There is never fighting growling or agressive behavior from my dogs to each other or anyone else or there is aggressive behavior from me. If you don't, you might as well get rid of him because you will never cure him

Have you tried obedience training? Maybe he just needs something to do? Maybe spend time teaching him tricks or something.
I can't blame your friends. I'm not crazy about a little dog nipping at me, either.
It's great that he wants to protect you and the rest of "his" property from strangers. You just need to help him curb this -- with gentle restraint.

I would start with taking him to obedience classes, then get with the trainer and explain your situation. They can help you out better than we can. We can't see what you are doing to correct the behavior, or how the dog actually "looks" when he goes crazy. See about a behaviorist.

Sorry, missed the part about him being neutered already. In that case some behavior modification is in order. Get with your vet and a trainer and work on it. It should be able to be fixed.

They will fix a dog at any age when you adopt one from an animal shelter so I assume your doctor will do it, too.

You need to take him to some obedience classes and teach him that it is not ok to do these things.
