Is a man's beard usually the same color as the hair on a man's chest or underarms?

I saw a man with naturally blonde hair and almost a carrot red beard today, I guess that's why this question came into my mind:P

It is usually similar in color and shade, however differences often occur. This is because the hair on your head is different to facial hair and body hair. Facial hair is coarser and if someone were to dye it, it wouldnt hold color as well as head hair. It is also usually the first turn grey.
I for one know this is possible because my father has brown/greying hair, very fair eyebrows, and if he grows a moustache its red.

A man can have different hair colors all over his body. Normally it'll all be the same color but the shades will be off because sometimes the amount of sun-light. Or, the fact that he had died his head hair before and the rest of his body hair will be different colors.

Not necessarily. I have seen 3 different natural colors in beard and one color body hair on same man.

Generally, yes. However, the degree to which facial hair may go gray (or not) can be independent of how quickly the hair on his head or chest goes gray. In my case, my facial hair, chest hair and the hair on my head are graying at roughly the same pace.

My ex's hair (on his head) is black and his facial hair is red. Our son came out blonde. Anything is possible.

depends on what color it is, if he has really dark hair, it usually seems like he's got dark hair all over.
