The rosary is a set of prayers that helps us remember the life of Jesus. Each decade of the rosary is another Mystery in the life of Jesus that teaches us lessons. The faithful say these prayers, they remember Jesus, and it's a good relaxation technique. I have a glow-in-the-dark rosary by my bed in case I have nightmares (or night terrors). It works wonders.

Non-Catholics disparage the Rosary because it is much easier to accept what you have been told and be closed minded than to try to understand something you are not familiar with.

I recieved a beautiful rose colored rosary for my 21st birthday from a relative. I thought it was lovely and (to my little at-the-time Baptist mind) it was a sign of religion. However, about a week after recieving the thing I started experiencing "old hag symdrome". This is a terrifing experience! Then one night I truly believe that I felt my bed shakeing. I remembered the rosary and decided to get rid of it and see if things got better. Well, they did. So I don't know exactly how to answer your question but thats my experience.

Wow, where to begin?
I'm glad you were accurate in describing it as a "Catholic tradition" and not as biblical truth. There is a difference.
First, as followers of Christ, we are to follow Christ's example and pray to God alone ("Our Father..."). Or can you provide any examples where Jesus prayed to Mary? No, you can't. So one cannot truly be a "follower of Christ" and refuse to follow His example by praying to somebody else.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 states in relevant part: "There is only one God and only one mediator between God and man. The man Christ Jesus who died for all..." So, if there is ONLY ONE mediator between God and man (Jesus Christ), why would I willingly disobey God's instruction and pray to another mediator (saints, Mary)?
Lastly, repeating the rosary that many times everyday, Jesus said: "When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again." (Matthew 6:7)
Grace and peace to you.

I have found that many Non-catholics would rather continue to misunderstand The Church so that they can go on hating her. Rather than understand and find out that they might be wrong. The Church is The ***** of Babylon and you can't tell a "Bible Christian" any different.

Who calls it the 'Scourge of Satan"? Only an ignorant fool would say that. Ignore them.

Because people who believe in "A" are predisposed to think that people who believe in "B" are diametrically opposed to them.
It has a great deal to do with the way we're wired.

Pray to God, through Jesus. No one else. Not repetitious prayers, your own heartfelt words. Why is this so difficult to understand?
And before you say I don't understand the Rosary, I was raised Catholic. I know better now.
May God Bless you.

Well to anyone who reads the Bible, or even knows The Ten Commandments, would know that God said more than once that we are to worship Him alone and that's it.
To pray to Mary is idol worship as well as praying to statues and crucifixes.
So to say that doing the rosary is a scourge of Satan is erroneous. It's actually doing Satan's bidding.
