no baby girl, what you want to do is say "hi, how's going" to him. so that he'll notice you. it's a harmless greeting, but enough to get anyone to notice you. do some research. find out what are his interests. bring it up when you actually have a conversation going. take this first step and see how it goes.

You must tell him. You don't want to spend the rest of your life wondering what if you had told him. Guys can get scared or may take you for granted if told bluntly.
Appreciate what he does. Praise him. Find reasons to be together like project work, sports etc. Always look him in his eyes and greet him with a smile when you see him. Ask him to help you with transport, finding a text book, assignments, choosing a gift for a friends birthday. Tell him you think very high of him. Take interest in what he likes. Give preference to be with him than with anyone else. Makehim feel that he is special to you.
Any guy will then sense that you are special and will reciprocate your crush.

No. If you're very shy, what do you think will happen if/after you tell him you have a crush on him? Where is this going? You should just wait til you have the nerve to speak up, the intelligence to know what to do next and cool to follow through.

Try to get to know him first sometimes a crush is just that and when you get to know them you realize they are not all that. If you still like him then I'd let him know when the time is right.
