Because the common cold virus mutates and changes so quickly any vaccine is obsolete before it can be produced.

A cold is a virus and as such keeps changing,therefore it is impossible to cure it as any medicine becomes ineffective very quickly.Every cold you get is a different virus.

If the cure for a cold was availiable the pharmaceutical firms would lose Â£500.000.000. a year.

Because there are hundreds of different viruses that can cause colds :-(
