and do enjoy it? Also what do you do? I am majoring in law enforcement right now in college. An the Coast Guard seems like an interesting way to go with my career. Thanks for the info.

If you join as enlisted you could go into law enforcement but as an Officer it's much harder because we are jacks of all trade and they put us where they need us. I know that in New Orleans if you want to do alot of Law Enforcement being on an CG cutter like an 87footer would be good. They do alot of boardings. If you go to a recruiter he can guide you in the right direction.
I enjoy my work. I save peoples lives. I'm not out in the field as much but it doesn't matter.
