Sadly it is legal at least in most places, but it shouldnt be. The only one I feel sorry for is that unborn baby who may already have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and a mother who obviously doesnt give a crap. If the bartender happened to see her ID and can remember her name, I would definitely report it to local child services so they can be on alert when she gives birth to make sure the child is correctly diagnosed with FAS. Just pray the child doesnt have it!

Don't think it is illegal by law for a pregnant woman to take alcohol but there are definite consequences especially on the part of the baby if the mother continues to drink.

your friend did the right thing...though i know of no law forbidding particularly to serve pregnant women, to serve anyone who is obviously drunk more alcohol does have legal consequenses in this country....(the bar could get sued if there is a wreck involving the impaired one for instance, and it would stick like glue) but i don't know whow the law reads exactly.

BY LAW THERES NOTHING YOUR FRIEND CAN DO BUT WHAT SHE IS ALREADY DOING AND THATS REFUSING TO SERVE THEM , but the person can also go after the establiment for not serving them on the basis of descrimination , the best thing i can sugest is that her friend talk to her boss/owner of bar and ask them if they can post a sine stating they will not serve alchol to pregnat women but have an non alchol menue for them

do no longer imagine of it particularly is illegitimate through utilising regulation for a pregnant woman to take alcohol yet there are certain outcomes really on the component of the toddler if the mother retains to drink.

This makes me so sad. As a new mother, I cant imagine endangering my child that way. It is so unfair for that child to suffer some unnecessary birth defect for the rest of his life because his mother is a lush. I am almost in tears...

No, there is no law in the UK. Also, drunkeness is not good for the unborn child, but moderate alcohol has recently been shown to do no harm to the unborn child.

unfortunately no... you could probably call child services on her, though and report her for child endangerment or for being an unfit mother.
